Google hebergeur de projets
Le dieu du web est une fois de plus descendu parmi nous pour nous livrer un bienfait, amen. Google lance une annexe d'hebergement de projets à Google Code. Les services offerts sont, d'après Olivier Ruffin qui a lu la FAQ : subversion, outil de suivi de bugs et mailing-list.
Comme je suis un impatient doublé d'un pragmatique, j'ai voulu créer un projet illico presto pour tester tout ça de visu. Et là, suprise :
Project Name Conflict
What happened?
The project name that you entered conflicts with one that is reserved.
The most common reason for a project name to be reserved is that it is already being used on another open source project hosting site. Having a different project with the same name could be confusing to user and detrimental to the existing project.
Sometimes when two developers think of the same name, it is because they have the same goal in mind. You might want to familiarize yourself with the existing project, and consider whether it would be better to work with them rather than create a potentially similar project of your own.
If you choose to continue, the owners of the existing project will be asked to approve your use of the name. If they approve, you will be notified and you can try again.
Petite déception, mais pas tant que ça puisque le nom que j'ai choisi pour le projet en question n'est après tout pas si original. Je clique donc sur le lien afin de voir le projet en question, et là deuxième surprise : le lien pointe directement sur la page de mon projet sur... Sourceforge. Quel respect de la concurrence... ;)
